informational blurb
Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Lisandra Micheli set out to make a name for herself at an early age. After a life changing event, she took up with the police academy, and upon graduating at the top of her class, she was given a chance to join the Mass State Police or the CIA. She chose the CIA. Lisandra was a successful Secret Agent for years, and upon taking a small leave for a vacation back home, she thwarted a murder attempt on billionaire businessman August Bergmen. Lisandra stuck around to see the investigation through, all while August pestered her to stay and work for him. Once the case closed, she agreed, and became Chief Security Officer of Bergmen Industries. Eventually falling in love with August, the two married in 2008 and had a daughter, Olivia, in 2009. She is extremely loyal to her family and close friends, and prides herself on always getting the job done, no matter what that job is. She also likes to hack into August's work computer to mess with him when she's bored.

When Lisandra Micheli was younger, she wanted to be an astronaut. Then a ballerina. Then a rapper. It wasn't until she was older and in high school that she realized she wanted to be a journalist. The school newspaper got to her first. She was reporting on the mundane tasks of the school, and soon she wanted to bring more 'class' to the high school paper. When that wasn't enough, she took an internship at the Boston Globe. When that wasn't enough, she got into college, going to Emerson College in Boston and started on her bachelor degree in journalism. Lisandra Micheli was going to be the next big thing in journalism. She was going to break all the latest news stories. She was going to force herself to try to take interest in things that didn't particularly interest her, because she knew she could get more recognition that way. Lisandra has always been described as ambitious and determined, and this was no different. Lisandra Micheli was going to be the best damn journalist the world had ever seen.

That was until she realized that she hated reporting on world news after a while. She got restless easily, and sitting behind a desk for the rest of her life didn't seem like an ideal way to spend her time. So she started to hunt around for jobs to see what she could do. Her aunt had let her know about an internship in New York City, and had set up an interview for Lisandra, so of course Lisandra decided to take a chance. She got on the next plane to New York, and set on her way to try to become a party planner. (Hey, it was a living.)

But of course, that doesn't mean that things always go how they're supposed to go. Coming back from her interview in New York, she was attacked by an mugger. Lisandra fought back and managed to keep her things with her, and got the man into a bit of trouble himself, but she hated just how scared the whole thing had made her. This caused a complete change in career for her - instead of going in the way of...well whatever it was she had her heart set on at the moment, Lisandra moved back home to Boston and get a new degree - a degree in criminal justice, and a job as a police officer. So in 1996, Lisandra was getting her degree in Criminal Justice, while training to be a police officer. She entered the police academy, completely giving herself over to the training and making sure she could learn everything she could -- she vowed that she would never be caught off guard or almost harmed ever again. She wanted people to fear her.

She trained hard for the police academy, and three years later in 1999 she ended up graduating at the top of her class - and was given two options. She could work as a Massachusetts State Trooper, or (and this was unheard of) she could join the CIA. While staying home seemed like a good idea at the time, it wasn't every day that people were given a position at the CIA, and so she jumped at the chance at joining one of the highest government agencies. Lisandra happily accepted a life of secrets and lies, and relocated to Langley where she continued her training.

Moving to the Washington, DC area, Lisandra became a field officer at first, and took her duty seriously. She moved up the ranks, soon being considered one of the top agents, and was viewed as highly dependable, and ended up doing more for her country than she had ever imagined doing. Some of the things she did were good. Others...well technically she had permission from the government to do her job, but if she didn't learn how to get those thoughts out of her head, she'd never learn to be happy. Lisandra became rather ruthless in her job and soon started taking jobs in Counterintelligence Center Analysis Group and the Information Operations Center Analysis Group within the Agency. She was sought after for her intelligence, her ruthlessness, and most importantly, her secrecy.

Being one of the sought after agents, she climbed up high, and the higher she climbed in the corporate ladder of the CIA, the more red tape she seemed to run across. She was starting to grow frustrated, and she was starting to feel like she was throwing her skills away. Her supervisor suggested that she take a break and go home to Boston for a while, and that was exactly what she did. She planned to go home, relax, see her family, and come back to work refreshed. But of course, fate had another plan.

In 2004 while visiting her friends in Back Bay, she was invited to go out to an exclusive nightclub opening, where the best of the best of Boston would be partying all night. That night, while she was dancing with her friends, she had caught the eye of billionaire and bachelor August Bergmen. He invited her up to his VIP section, and while it made her roll her eyes (because attractive or not, she was so not interested), she agreed and headed that way anyway. As she did so, a man and woman walked in front of her and pulled out a gun on August - Lisandra without even thinking jumped into action. She knocked the man down on his knees and punched the woman in the cheek, kicking the gun away and immediately snapped into agent mode, using her work phone to call for backup. As she questioned August to find out who he thought was trying to kill him, he ended up trying his best to flatter her -- and to get her to work for him instead.

It wasn't an offer Lisandra originally took, but she agreed to stay in the city while they figured out who had tried to kill the billionaire -- it seemed to just be a woman scored and her brother helping her. But August practically begging her to work for him (Which she had to admit was a weird sight to see) she finally caved. While she had loved her CIA job, the red tape was getting to be too much for her, and she was happy to leave that life behind. The idea of waking up and going to a job where she wouldn't possibly feel guilt was a good choice for her. So, Lisandra went back to Langley to hand in her resignation at the CIA, and finally accepted the position to work in the private sector. By the time 2005, August had named Lisandra the Chief Security Officer of Bergmen Industries.

Working in the private sector wasn't as exciting as working for the CIA, but it was a life she was far more happier with - for one she could finally get the tattoos that she wanted to, something she couldn't do while she worked for the government. She even started to date around, and found herself dating various people who were all wrong for her (and sometimes too young for her). After a while, she had started to grow close to August, spending time working out his personal security, and eventually spending time with him grabbing a beer after hours, or teasing him about the various horrible dates he had been on. Little did she know she was falling in love, and when she finally realized she was in love with him, it hit her like a ton of bricks. They tried to keep it physical at first, but it didn't last - August proposed in Summer 2008, and Lisandra accepted.

And apparently, it had hit him like bricks as well -- once the two grew a pair large enough to make them both admit their feelings, they moved rather quickly. They moved in together and got engaged - and on July 31, 2008 were married in Italy. They welcomed their first child Olivia into the world in September 2009 and have been a happy little family ever since. Now their daughter is 7 years old and growing like a weed every day, and the three of them have a happy little dynamic going, with all the love, laughter, and robots running around that anyone could ask for.

Basic Information
Maria was born in Chicago, Illinois. Her mother died during childbirth, something her father always resented her for. When she grew older she joined the armed forces then went on to join S.H.I.E.L.D. Maria Hill was elected into the Directorate position by the President after Nick Fury went AWOL at the end of Secret War. Though there were others more suited for the position, Maria was chosen for not being a "Fury Loyalist" (Which was seen as highly unfavorable).

As the 50 State Initiative was set in motion, Maria passed the mantle of leadership to Tony Stark, realizing she was not the right person for the job. She became Stark's deputy director. During her time as his deputy, she grew to trust Stark more and her methods became much more in-conventional then they had been before.

During Secret Invasion, the Helicarrier is attacked and taken over by Skrulls whilst she was on it. The Skrull tells her the Skrulls had caused her to be made Director and her job was to publicly surrender on behalf of humanity. Maria doesn't back down and she's gunned down. However Hill had used a LMD and the real Maria escaped and blew up the Helicarrier, killing the Skrulls on board. During Dark Reign, S.H.I.E.L.D was turned into H.A.M.M.E.R, Hill was fired by Norman Osborn and Maria began to work more closely with Tony and helps in various missions. Hill and Stark grow closer in their time spent together, even acting more intimately with each other on occasion.

After Osborn invades Asgard during Siege, Maria arrives before the Avengers and on her own with a huge gun. Maria saves Thor from being murdered by Osborn's forces and is instrumental in the fight against him. Steve Rodgers took notice of her actions during Siege and appointed her to lead a new team of Avengers. During a meeting of the three Avengers liaisons, Victoria Hand, Sharon Carter and Maria are discussing various Avengers affairs when the Absorbing Man attacks them. Maria comes up with a plan to defeat him. Together they beat him and arrest him again. Maria still works with Tony even during her time spent with the Avengers.

After Osborn's reign was over, Hill was put in charge of the Avengers. She was later replaced by Captain America when the war against the Serpent was over. After the attack of the Serpent was over, Rogers decided to reactivate S.H.I.E.L.D., with Maria again in the charge of deputy director. After director Daisy Johnson broke the protocols by sending the Secret Avengers to kill A.I.M. leader Andrew Forson, Quake was suspended indefinitely and Maria was put in charge of S.H.I.E.L.D. once more.

facts • Has way too many degrees, but this is due to her desire to further her education, as well as stay on top of her game in her field. It first started out as overachieving when she went to Boston University, then as she went to join the CIA, and took an undercover job in New York, it was to keep her cover. (She had gotten the degree under her undercover name, but after the CIA managed to get it changed to her own name). Her Masters degree in 2008 was to prove to herself that she could do it, and her most recent degree, a doctorate in 2016.

• Still owns the apartment she lived in before marrying August. They agreed to keep the apartment for them to use when they needed a break from each other or just wanted to get away for a while. It's worked out well between them.

• Loves traveling but hates flying. So if she can take a train, or a bus, or even a motorbike, she will. Sometimes claims she has a fear of heights, but really she just hates flying. She's gotten a lot better with it over the years though, especially now.

• Road trips are her favorite and she loves to go out on trips for weeks at a time. She hasn't been able to do this anymore due to her job and her family, but she doesn't mind that much.

• Loves space and everything about it. Seriously geeks out about it on the regular.

• Has way too many tattoos, but she's addicted. Once she left the CIA, she finally got all the tattoos that she wanted (since she was not allowed to have them while working for the agency.) Her main tattoos are "August" on her wrist, a ring tattooed around her ring finger, "Olivia" with a little heart on her ankle, and a bird cage on her back.
